Rex is a Veteran with the Air Force. After active duty continued to volunteer in the Air Guard.
He participated in boxing and full contact Karate for 7 years and was the State Golden Glove Champion.
Rex is a cowboy, that is known on the rodeo circuit for his steering wrestling skills and won numerous rodeo competitions. Rex traveled participating in the International Pro Rodeo Association for over 18 years in the US and Canada and currently has a farm with horses and cows.
Michelle Garcia
Michelle has been in or around the Real Estate business for over 10 years. She received her license in 2021. She has been the Manager of The Rex Sullivan Team for 7 years and Rex’s personal assistant, transaction coordinator and Chief Operating Officer.
Previous to Hometown, Michelle was with Capital One for 11 years in various positions.
She is a mother of 3 wonderful children. A 19-year-old daughter, 15-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. She is a member and regular attendee of Atlee Community Church. Her hobbies include horseback riding leisurely on trails or enjoying time at a rodeo. She loves to travel to the mountains, river or beach and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Frankie Shockley
Frankie is a Hanover native, he grew up and still lives on his family horse farm. He graduated from Lee Davis High School and attended J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He worked in his family's business for 30 years and served as company President for 14 years before becoming a Realtor in 2017 and joining Hometown Realty.
Frankie’s knowledge and experience helps clients with the buying and selling process. He has extensive experience in farmland and river properties.
In Frankie's spare time, he takes care of his horses and cattle and he enjoys spending time competing in Rodeo events such as Tie Down Roping. In addition, he enjoys spending time at the River with family and friends.
Tyler Fleming
I have been around real estate my whole life with my dad being a class A contractor, I have been on many custom home jobsites assisting with whatever help was needed. I got my license in June of 2016. I have assisted many buyers and sellers, whether it be land, residential, or commercial transactions. I enjoy getting to know my clients and building not only a business relationship, but also a personal relationship, gaining their trust and guiding them throughout the whole process efficiently is one of my favorite things about this business. My specialties are new construction, resales, and land. I take pride in assisting my clients throughout the entire process, from first meeting them to getting the transaction to the closing table. I love doing anything outdoors! I have a beagle, horses, and chickens. My favorite hobbies are hunting and fishing.
John Bowden
Hello, my name is John Bowden. I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I have lived in Glen Allen for over 25 Years. I have two grown sons, Tyler and Ches. My daughter Brooklyn, is a Student at Virginia Tech. I also have a Coton de Tulear named Fluffy. In my spare time I enjoy lifting weights, riding my mountain bike, cooking for my family and good times with good friends.
I was a double major at East Carolina University in Accounting and Finance. I also minored in Physics, as I was always fascinated by moving objects. My professional career started in 1989 at the Financial Group of Virginia. I assisted clients with insurance and investment strategies. In 1992, I moved to New Jersey to work in the petroleum industry buying and selling millions of gallons of petroleum products a month. In 1997, I started in the restaurant industry in Richmond. In 2013 I retired from the restaurant business and started my Real Estate career.
I am excited to be a part of the Rex Sullivan Team. My father built custom homes on Lake Chesdin in the 70’s and 80’s. As soon as I was 11 I was free labor. Seriously, who would give an eleven year old a circular saw and a hammer drill? I understand the home buying process as I have been involved in buying property from Lake George, New York to Greenville, North Carolina. I encourage all of my clients to use me as a resource, even after their transaction is complete. I look forward to helping you with all of your real estate needs in the Richmond metro area.
